What can I say I drive alot and the stock sound system in the Tacoma blows.. Im no audiophile I just want a nicer system....

I don't know jack about car audio nor none of the stuff you listed. But I hope it sounds good and post pics when finished!

 

Agreed, but there are numerous people on this site that like to flame peoples decisions about buying certain products, and can be particularly insensitive to a tight budget.

i tried to hit 500$ but i dint want to skimp on RCAs and Dynamat...im looking for a ballanced system...the days of 3 w7s are far behind me...and my pocketbook

 

What type of Tacoma do you have? Just a heads up before everything gets there, you won't fit a 12" woofer behind the rear seats of a double cab.

Honestly, I would have gone with a set of components for the front instead of a set of 6x9's. A decent comp set can be done for the same or less money than the JL 6x9's, but I understand a budget sensitive build.

20' of speaker wire might do it, but I found I used well over the 25' I ordered. It really stacks up when you're running it through channels and trying to clean up the build.

The 4 channel RCA wire you ordered is fine. I assume that you're planning on running the front two channels to your 6x9's and bridging the rear two to your sub.

That kenwood deck is a good start, especially for a budget build.

Is it what I would do? Probably not, but it ought to upgrade your sound at a decent budget.

I think with a few different pieces you could get a lot more bang for your buck, but that's just my opinion.

Also, I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but when it comes to subwoofer boxes, you get what you pay for. If I'm reading that right, $19.99 for a sub box is incredibly cheap.

All in all, it ought to do just what you want it to do. If you have time to change it, I would, but that's just me and I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to stereo things.

I have such a hard time even reading what you've typed up, it's giving me a headache just looking at it. Paragraphs can be your friend, the easier your post is to read the more advice you'll likely get.

Now i'd like to lend a hand..
First, what model/year truck do you have? Also i absolutely love Jl audio and the c2's are great speakers. I would recommend a set of 6.5" components over 6x9s though. 6.5" speakers are much better acoustically and for the price of 122 you listed you can actually save about 30 bucks by getting the JL C2 6.5" componets from Amazon right now. I'm having a hard time reading the rest but if you clean it up a little bit i'll chime back in

 

Could you not read the title of thread? Everything has been ordered no opinioned needed other the if I missed some critical component..

 

i don't see a single din mounting trim or a wiring harness on that list. Also don't see a swi-jack if you want to keep your steering wheel controls (if you have them).

Also curious why you ordered 6x9 3-way speakers and also tweeters?

If you don't want comments, then perhaps you might consider explaining why you made the choices you did - others can perhaps learn or at least hear another viewpoint.

And if all you wanted to do was make a statement. Then statement was made, I don't understand why you then even bother to reply (but maybe I'm just thick).

 

ok this thread is snowballing out of control....lets start fresh... Hello my name is Vadim I own a 2011 Tacoma Ext Cab and I have ALREADY purchased the following components for my new sound system... I'm not starting this thread to discuss my choices or EXPLAIN them I'm only starting it so I can have a place to post pics for my own reference (or others).... YES, I agree components are better then 6x9 BUT I dint want to deal with the magnet size on the adapters and I know 6x9 are universal as long as you check your top mount depth.. and I just like 6x9s the tweeters are a after thought as the Tacoma is a small truck and I wanted tweeters mounted high on the door that might not work out but i figure i would give it a try....hopefully my head unit can turn them on and off..

this is where im going with this project i think.... the most bass I can get with out taking up space in the tacoma... im planing on removing the center rear console and putting the woofer in there...the space measures 12" and the box measures 11"


and I want to mount the tweets high and angled in the upper part of the door where that black panel snaps off..
