If that trail of mine hadn't been such a bastard, I would have said this weekend. I get a 4 day weekend. What is everyone else's schedule? I'm thinking maybe we could play up at Goat Mountain? I don't really know the area at all so it would be a lot of exploring around to find something :( but I think some guns or fireworks would help.

I could also be tempted to go southwards if C-town folk can find us a place to have fun.

Not saying the spacer is the cause of it but my truck came with spacers up front when I bought it and the steering wheel was pretty wobbly when driving it @ highway speeds...never felt the vibration in my legs though

Lucky dog..I didn't get a candy from them.

Are you sure the SWB @ Intel has CBI front bumper? Looks like one of those road warrior armor bumper with added hoops..

Where is goat mountain? My truck is 100% now. Replaced my gasket seal for the rear and was about to fix my e-locker problem I had(Was engaged even in 2wd).

Common, take it easy on a brother man)).. everybody has their own personal prefrences and not everybody can afford abusing their truck or buying every option available. And the bumper is road armor aggro btw:)

Ah, you are correct. I thought the laser etch in the bottom said CBI, but it's definitely road warrior from the hoop. Check it out. Aren't cheap either.

Estacada. Super pain to find if I didn't have it plugged into the GPS.

If that's directed at me, I'm just saying he paid triple what I did and doesn't use it. If I was going straight looks I'd go for an AP aluminum so I could save weight and use the extra $800 for something else... ends up looking the same. More than anything, I'm upset that I don't have another person who would want to come exploring with us.

I don't mind people trying to improve the looks of their truck, but seriously... I was at Fry's last week and saw an F150 with a 6" lift and Nittos. the guy took up two spots because he parked crooked, and when he backed out he almost took out a car parked next to him DESPITE having a huge amount of room. Once he three-point turned out of the parking spot, he had to cruise AROUND a puddle.

I knew it was road armor!! Haven't compared them side by side but I've seen it on a couple of full size trucks within the past couple of days and it looked similar.

    What part?

    Uhh Mike..that's HIS(Ocati)truck I believe :)

EDIT And hey..I'm willing to go exploring if it's on a weekend and I have a babysitter for my daughter. That place you went to the other day looks very scenic.

I bought the bumper used and a winch is in the making. I just don't offroad too much with it since it's my daily and can't afford to break anything u know:).

Ocati I just looked at your photos..I'm sure it was you who had your AP rear bumper for sale a few months ago and I was going to purchase it for $250 or something but I was to late  LOL I'm pretty sure I even tried bribing you as well to let me pick it up instead of selling it to who ever you sold it to :D

I never was very observant :p

    Ah, then score for you.
Sorry if I jumped all over you - first time I walked by I got excited that there would be ONE other person who understood WHY I did these mods and had the bug to get off the pavement. I just saw a lot of potential, but like I said, running boards made me think all hope was lost. :p
Front end looks like there was a lot of thought put in and I want to see more happen

Is that your buddy with the 1st gen done up? I walk around the building each day, I slow my pace when I near where you two park... gotta observe mods!

No worries with that, I'm the same... I've just loosened up a bit over seeing what I can handle, and I'm still young enough at times to try things first and think later. If I break anything or get a dent, I'll probably black out.

I never thought I'd have done as much as I have mod-wise, and it's taken about 2 years to get this far! I've had some excellent teachers and some lucky breaks on gear.

let me know if you want to discuss, it took me a bit to make a decision on mine. I tend to be bored as hell in the new vPro lab just off the cafe.

Hey Mike how much would a couple chain saws help with that trail you were up? Or is it too heavy with down trees?

You would basically park the truck and just start cutting down brush. I think it would take a real dedicated effort over several days. It would be cool to do since I'd like to reclaim the road and make it accessible, but it's not a one day event.

Hmm I might be out camping with cousins this weekend... If that happens and the rest of you still want to go, I'll try leaving goat mt directions with one of you. How many people are committed?

EDIT: I guess I should mention what to expect at goat, from the little I know -

    Near Estacada
Easy gravel access roads in, you could bring a car
If you know what logging forests look like, this is the same thing.
I doubt there's snow at the top, but you might find some
Trails are unmarked, you have to go find them. Some can be pretty wild. The focus would be on discovery of where these are and walking/letting the adventurous scout them.

I would think any vehicle is welcome, just know that you might have to park and ride at times.

You can't go cutting down any trees, of course, but I'm sure you could do a firepit. I would encourage people to bring food for a dinner shindig.
If you guys are comfortable with folks bringing guns, I'd assume you could find a shooting area. Just make sure you find an area that has a good solid backdrop, there can be random people up there.
