Modifications? Umm, I got those little convex mirrors attached to the side view mirrors...
just wondering if their is an interior panel missing on my truck, or not.
Shouldn't there be some type of panel covering the real interior wall, behind the seat-back??
just seems cheap, just having bare painted metal...

    lol
    god! more dumb questions!
    thanks again guys

I didn't like the bare metal and frame look at first, but it is actually very functional. When I got rid of my Cherokee, I wanted to take a part of it with me (had it for 21 years). I took the pouch on the back of the front seat off and mounted to the frame behind my bench seat. It now holds my cleat tie-downs. Once it warms up a bit I will do a few more things to it.

Why not get some carpet to match, maybe with some jute backing, remove the plastic trim from the top and attach the carpet.

I am sure there has to be a rib of some sort under it that you could drill a few holes in and fasten the carpet with plastic clips. Then replace the plastic trim piece.

You could then fasten the lower portion of the carpet with Velcro or whatever you think would be best.

    Just a suggestion of course.

You could also put some ram mat or the like back there and just glue the carpet to it, then it would serve two purposes.

Yeah I was thinking about some type of sound deadening material. Sounds wierd but the first thing that came to mind was that rubber adhesive backed snow & ice roofing material! lol
I would like to improve the sound, with a subwoofer or something back there. I have a pretty good Kenwood unit that I was got in a trade, so I might need something more than stock speakers, but- thats a different topic for that forum.
I at least I know now that the guy before me didn't remove a panel from back there!
    Thanks again all...

obtw, what the heck is "Ram Mat"???
