    Good Morning to all my Canuck neighbors....

    Glad to see OZ is recovering ....

    Hey Hugh, We're on vacation in Iowa/Nebraska/Missouri...just drove down to Kansas City from NW Iowa, along the Missouri River...had to take a 90 min detour through the country side because I-29 is flooded out from around Omaha to Rockport. This flooding stuff you've probably seen in the news is no joke...I'll try to post some pictures when we get back up to my sister-n-law's home.

    ...Made me wonder if Saskatchewan (sp?) is having issues as well. Bound to see an increase in food prices from all this, eh??

    Hope all are well! Back to vacation now...gotta go ride some roller coasters today...shortage (as in none) of those in Alaska, so we always try to fit in an amusement park when we make the trip to lower 48. Take care all!

    ya its pretty bad here. where i live we only have about a 1 km stretch of road closed. our banks are really high here. down south is a completely different story. south east sask and south west manitoba are pretty much covered in water. i was coming back from south west manitoba on the trans canada and they had to close a 150km stretch of 4 lane highway because of flooding. there is one town that is completely underwater in southeast sask. here's a link to some of the news about it. http://www.cbc.ca/sask/features/flood2011/

    Thanks for the link...thought that was probably the case. I'll get some photos loaded in the next few days of the flooding down here...didn't really have a firm grasp of how serious it was until I saw it first hand. :eek:
