I used to listen to a lot of PVD, Oakenfold, Digweed, Sasha, etc...back in the days but I'm sure its changed a lot since 1999.

The good days are over....these days the DJ's have no idea how to build a set and blow your mind.

The progressive guys still do ok...

Yep, you pretty much experienced the best times...actually feel bad for these kids cooking their brains on god-knows-what-they-put-in-the-pills these days and not even knowing what it could have been like :)

Case in point, see this vid on this page....that is what they think is the best song, to publish it on the website??

    http://newyearsevela.com/2011/nye/home.html

Went to this event a few years back, and only saw a ton of Asian kids frying their brains out, sitting on the floor, and giving each other gay hugs! :)

    Compare that to this....

Yea rite! ive listened to all the original sets back in the day. Todays sets are by far better. Who are you specifically listening to that worse then the DJs back in the day?

Edited my post ^^^^ last time I had a good party was with this kid. Can't blame the DJ's for becoming commercial, it's all about the money now. I like Trance, Progressive/House and sometimes I just need a bit of Hardcore!!!

Sry man but im pretty sure DJs shows and raves these days destroy what you've ever been to. Please see trailer above, this was of EDC last year in LA.

Trance isnt in anymore maybe thats why. Its all about House and Dub and all the inbetween genres.

This is probably part of the reason why it sucks....trance/hiphop combo! :)

Turn up the sound on the vid I posted above, not even close to the best, but you get the idea, and this is Hardcore, not even a fan it so much :) Round about 3:56 your head will explode!!!
I have to admit, the visual aspect of today's parties are way better.

We just dont have the same taste. Most of trance is out tho. Even tiesto went to house instead of trance. Trance is good dont get me wrong but for raves its not as thrilling and upbeat at least to me house has better drops. Raves definitly have changed tho.
