Yea the heads lights should come from the dealer/factory like this. They look so much better. This AM i took the truck all apart, painted the headlights and installed my TRD bug deflector. I think the truck looks awsome. Hope to get my bull bar next week.
    Enjoy

:thumbsup:I like it...looks good...I thought about about going with the "glossy" paint but was afraid the paint might end up peeling or failing down the road. I also like the 'gloss side markers'.

I made shure to prep the plastic good then used a primer that makes the paint stick to plastic. Now i think im going to take the tails apart and see what i can do with them. Planing a custom grill as well, but not a billet or honeycomb, im keeping the stock grill in place but making something to sit inside of it. Should be cool. If it does not work on my old chrome grill ill just leave it alone. My truck was the sr5 so it had a chrome bumper and grill. i think there horible so i changed em out for black. Bumper is getting its final wet sand tomaro.
Here are some pics the day i picked it up from the dealer. 12 miles on it.

Hey 106Tacoma, get that bug guard off your hood ASAP!!!!! Return it to the dealer and tell them to flush that piece of crap down the toilet. The TOYOTA bug guards have metal brackets that wear the paint off the hood. It only takes a month and you will be down to steel. Toyota actually repainted my hood when I brought this to their attention. There are a ton of threads on this over on TN and CT. Buy any aftermarket bug guard. They are all secured under the hood and don't mess up your paint. Hell of a job on the headlight mod. Looking really good!

Yea i saw this with the brakets so i coated the end off the hood with 2 more coats of clear and then used endustrial plastic tape to to in between the metal and the hood. Hopefully i wont have a problem. Ill get some more pics of my new rear bumper, just got finished with it.

I too had the Toyota bug guard till it chipped my hood in 3 places under the metal brackets. I then touched all three places and replaced it with an EGR bug protector that does not touch the hood in any place, but in the original under hood factory holes (5 @).

and i spray tinted my taillights with VHT niteshades tint. ten bucks a can, did both taillights and my 3rd brake light with 1/3 of a can left. make sure you do several very light coats otherwise it'll run, and take them off the truck before u spray them. don't need to sand them down, just clean them with alcohol
