So i just bought my first tacoma about 2 months ago and its awesome a perfect truck. i want to start toying around and modifying it. i have a 2011 white trd double cab short bed.

i have listened to posts on youtube and was debating on cat back exhausts. i want a deep growl with NO raspy sound. from all the other threads people love TRD and BORlA.

My probelm is i dont want it extremely loud but i want to know its there. so my question is does any one that has put the TRD on their truck felt its too quiet? please help i want to pull the trigger on this

    thanks

I have a feeling the trd one will be too quiet for you. I have a wicked flow and love it. Not too loud. Not too quiet. Doesn't drown out the cab on the freeway.

I have the MBRP dual exhaust, that is the best sounding exhaust I have heard to date. I am not just saying that since it's on my truck either.

I have a 2011 TRD Toyota Tacoma with the V6 (TRD Offroad Package). When I bought the truck, I had Toyota put the TRD exhaust on. I must say, it is awesome. I had a borla cat-back on my 2004 Jeep Rubicon, the TRD exhaust sounds better than the borla in my opinion. Go with the TRD, you will not be displeased. I also put a AEM Cold Air Intake in as well, the combined sound and get up is amazing.

PJM86 ... Is the trd noticeable ? I feel in the sound clips on youtube that its a very very quiet system . What's your opinion . I want to know its there but nothing extreme

The youtube sound clip doesn't do it justice. You will know it is there the moment you turn on the truck. It is not too intrusive, but you, and others around you, will know it is not the stock exhaust. Like I said, I had a Borla on my 2004 Jeep, I really only heard it when I was cruising around 65-70 mph. Having the TRD Cat Back installed on your truck will allow you to hear it throughout all your gears; however it does not sound like a set of cheap glass packs, if you know what I mean. I really think you will enjoy the system. I would also recommend the AEM Cold Air Intake. Hope this helps.
