Hey all. Just got my first 4wd truck, a 2010 AC SR5. Got a great deal on it with 14k miles on it. I have had AWD cars and SUVs but never anything as versatile as this truck. I have only had it 3 weeks and I love it. So far, I have upgraded the front speakers and made a shelf for the back where the dog can chill on long drives. There are still many more mods I plan to do but I need to spread them out to prevent the wife and bank from getting upset at me.

Here's some pics of the truck:

Thanks folks! I have learned so much about the truck from just a few weeks of lurking. You guys are all awesome!

Nice! I'd like to see what you came up with for hauling the dog around. We have three that go with us alot, just not in the new truck yet!

    Welcome! Have fun four wheeling!

In H4, you have limited slip front and rear (TRAC) which really improves traction. In L4, there isn't any limited slip or locker in the SR-5, but do consider the 4-lo Trac Mod (yellow wire mod) to fool the truck into giving you TRAC in L4...

Kev, I will take some pics of it when I get it back from the shop. I have it in getting the ECU reprogrammed and some other scheduled maintenance done.

The shelf is not in the bed area though. It just makes the unevenness of the back cab flat. I like it so much, I leave it in there since nobody in their right mind would want to ride back there anyway. Well, the Oompa Loompas may get along fine back there...:D Keep a lookout in the 2nd Gen forum for a post about it.

David, I will look into the mod. It may just come in handy up here in the NE when we get those monster snow storms. I don't know of any offroading areas around me yet as I am new to the area but I will be scoping out some areas. Thank you for the info. I hadn't seen anything about that mod yet.
