wow very ingenuitive of you. i'll have to remember that. my stock leafs squeak, but i don't mind it for some reason. though by the sounds of it yours dakars are a lot worse. cool idea. . . . i bet that rubber will last a pretty good while. though if i were to make a suggestion, sometimes at work we will use certain types of leather soaked in grease or oil to serve as a bearing. it actually last a very very long time, and thats with continuous motion of a shaft spinning on it. if that rubber dry rots, that might be something you could try. . . . either way, cool fix.

yeah man, just thought i'd throw it out there. . . its a threaded type of leather we use, i'll try to get you a pic sometime this week. but like i said, it works great and would probably last longer than rubber especially with your climate (i would think :notsure:)

I wonder, how many people here now who Bluto is/was? Also, his suggestion is a good one.

Still being paid from my old job so I guess I am being paid, sort of.

My truck projects are backing up again as well.

Putting the finishing touches on a foundation for a 8'X12' shed today. Mostly it is pick and shovel work today. Finishing up lunch then back to work.
