Attempted comp hill at Pismo and was flogging on it a little too hard I guess. Lesson learned, don't go to Pismo :D

I replaced the dogbone parts of the latch that was broken with one from a 96-00 that I got from a junkyard. It was skinner, but still works.

Changed the oil yesterday. Used Mobil 1 synthetic and an oem filter. Seafoamed it the night before. A 3rd in the tank, 3rd in the crank oil and a 3rd via brake booster.

Picked up an oil filler pump, 6 quarts of Mobil 1one synthetic 75w-90 and all the washers for the tcase and riffs. Planning on doing that and the spark plugs tomorrow. Hopefully I got the right gear oil. It says it's intended for "Where an api gl-5 quality oil is recommended ". Guess that probably means its gl5. I remember there being some talk about gl5 messing up soft metal over time and gl4 is better the the service manual says either one is acceptable. But the manual also says to use hypoid gear oil and this Mobil synthetic doesn't have the word hypoid anywhere on it. Idk either way hope its better than not changing it.

Got really bored today at my friends storage unit, tried on some 33x12.50's in place of my 33x 10.5's. Then i tried to clear some 35 baja claws but they didnt fit at all so didnt take pics.

 185K?? That's a big WOW. Good choice on 2" and the 32s, that's all you really need and only minimally impacts driveability.

It's about time. I was beginning to worry about you.

Thought maybe you were immune to all these evil TW influences. :D

Yeah kinda what I figured, dont feel like replacing CV shafts on a regular basis and don't want to take the MPG hit that comes with the load range E 285's.

185K is still being broken in, my old 95.5 tacoma had just north of 350K when I sold it, and everything was original:cool: (obviously this doesn't include maintenance items).

That being said, I would like to know what the original owner did to drive so much. It equals out to ~26,400 mi a year, or ~72 mi a day:crazy:

I took it up to Magic Toyota in Edmonds a few weeks back for an oil change and found out the dude bought it there brand new back in 04 and did every single preventative / suggested maintenance item. The guy obviously took care of it cause it drives better than my 04 silverado did w/ 70K, lol.

Just did the AAL thing to my prerunner and now I have 2" of extra lift. Didn't really want extra lift just wanted the lame leafs to act like they are supposed to. This mornin on the way to work going about 25 mph I feel like I'm riding over some rocks with a rubble effect. I'm gonna check all bolts n stuff when I get home.
