I was selected for Green to Gold Active Duty Option. I get to go to school and finish up my bachelors degree while maintaining my active duty status. It's a 2 year scholarship so my place of duty will be the university going to school. I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity and to earn my commission. :D

Thanks! I am very lucky to get selected for this. I always take care of my soldiers 24/7. I am currently a Staff Sergeant/E-6, soldiers and training is my profession :)

That would be cool, I was on the fence back in the day. Just keep in mind in the aviation field you get a lot more years out of flying when you’re a WO vs. commissioned. At least that’s one complaint my BDE XO seems to make. Some do but it’s not common. I am def NOT trying to bag on your plans in case it comes across that way. If I was'nt so set in my ways as an NCO I would have done the same thing you are. What you are doing is one of the best and smartest deals out there. Just throwing out what I have heard.

(Any AV guys out there please correct me if I'm wrong as I am NOT speaking from "personal" experience and only repeating what I have heard from my father in law (CW5/AV) and BDE XO)

Regardless, best of luck getting everything you are hoping for out of it! (lots of years flying?) :oldglory:
