Today is a sad day in my house. I sold my Tacoma today after much debate. I swear I almost teared up as I was driving away. I will miss her.

What happened in this debate that ended up in replacing it with a F150 FX4???

    ugh, brutal.

I could see selling my Tacoma to go to a Tundra or maybe even possibly a FJ (two kids, 7 mos and 3). But a Ford ... meh, at least it's not a Chevy.

Well there is no way I would buy a Govt Motors (GM) or Dodge. So that left me w/ either the FX4 or the Tundra. I just am not crazy about the Tundra's interior or Front end. But when the New Tundy rolls out I may be trading who knows.
I may end up in another Taco!
I know I will stick around here, cause I love checking in on the TW. Love the site and love the peeps, learned lots here.

I feel your pain, Jay. I did the same thing when I traded out of my BMW. It was a huge change for me. At least you are going from a high rider to another one. Can a Taco tow a Found On Road Dead? :boink: LOL.

If you HAVE to go Ford, X2 on the Ecoboost.

If it makes you feel any better, I too would only go Ford were I to go with a domestic.

I think I would be fine with the aluminum 5.0. I assume the ecoboost is a spendy premium over the 5.0.

Also, the FX4 package would be the way I'd go. Ford tried to appeal to the old geezer by slapping as much chrome on as they could. I saw a gray FX4 that was pretty good looking. The chrome around the tail lights is moronic.

I'd much rather own a Ford than a Chevy .. Chevy begs for handouts and still can't figure it out.

I drove a tow truck for 10 years, and I promise you that trading nearly anything for an F150 is a big mistake. And to trade a taco for one is borderline crazy. Forgive my 2 cents, but it comes in all honesty, as the F150 and Grand Cherokee were my bread and butter as a tow operator.

You still have a chance for redemption, however. Choose wisely! Until then, I will mourn with you. :(
