I just bought a grille from the same company (ABS plastic mesh version though). Fitment was off a bit where the grille rises to meet the body lines of the hood on either top edge.

The weatherstripping that they attached to the grille is too small and you can actually see under the hood between the grille and the hood itself. Doesn't matter how you shim/adjust the mounts. Gap is still visible.

If you are hoping for an exact color match to the OEM Toyota black paint for 2011 Tacoma's.. well it has a slight red hue compared to the factory Toyota paint and stands out a bit under direct light. Also some unpainted white plastic was visible near the top by the weatherstripping as well, you could see this from looking forward down the hood at the grille.

Aside from that is seems to be made well and is not of cheap quality. The mesh is actually removable via screws, all the way around. They take extra care packaging the grille with a ton of foam and bubble wrap. Just needs some work done to it in order for it to have an OEM fit and finish.

Long story short, my OEM grille went right back on 20 min after installing this. Unsure what I'm going to do with it at this point.

Here are some photos I took of what exactly I was talking about with the fitment issues of these "ebay" grilles.

Honestly I think its a decent alternative to hacking apart your OEM grille. Gives you something to work with if you would like to save your OEM parts for resale of the vehicle, or if you just get sick of your aftermarket grille down the road.

Doesn't seem like anything replacement weather stripping couldn't fix.

I am looking at this ebay grill as well. I looked it up and they also offer a 3.5mm metal mesh. Would like to see some more pictures!

Completely agree, I tweaked the grille where it didn't line up with the body lines by loosening the screws where it attaches to the shell in the top corners. Lines up fairly well now. I need some of that OEM sized weather stripping, haven't had much luck with finding any.

Did you order the grille weather strip from Toyota dealer?
The dealer I went to stated they did not sell the weather striping separately from grille. thx for your reply

I have one of these grills without the side vents (It's just solid).

It's seems well made and beats having to do all the work yourself.

I may be putting it up for sale though to fund a bumper. I have the grill NIB and a can paint kit for MGM for $100 shipped.

It seems great for mounting lights behind the grill or having a Satoshi look for less time and money.

On these it's just self adhesive weather striping. If you get the width and height you can order the stuff online on a roll.

I got some that's smaller to seal the gaps on the tailgate to keep dust out with my camper.
