Well I guess if you don't mind cutting up your truck but what are you looking to gain by choosing them over a 33. I mean your setup works great now and I'm sure it will work better with a 33, why the need for the 35. I'm not starting crap just curious, I'm sure its for a reason or you wouldn't be doing it.

The fenders would look badass, maybe fiberglass or pulled bedsides for the rear?

Or flat bed that shit. I'd love to see a flat bed tacoma around. There is a frontier that has a flat bed and it looks sick.

a more agressive bad will cause more friction (which is why it works better) they do so by using a softer pad, which already cuts down on life a little. the dimled and slotted have two purposes. cut down on heat (probably not an issue without 35s), and they shed mud better. i'm sure they go through pads quicker, but pads are relatively cheap.

i've been reading all i can on 35s, and all of the guys up here who wheel 33s say that the 1 inch gain has allowed a truck with 35s to make it over something in one shot where it took them 3-4 tries and more speed. <<<that was actually from larry.

i think the lines of our trucks are really nice, so i'd like to at least stay with fiberglass sides. i think flatbeds look better on boxier trucks likethe frontiers and older tacomas. wyatt made it look good, but he doesn't have a bed persay. he just redid his whole rear frame and itkinda looks like a bed.

what is really holding me up on them is that i wanted to regear and add lockers all at once so i only have to tear open the diffs once. unfortunately i'll need the new tires before i can fork over such a largh amount for new gears, 2 lockers, and an overhaul on my air setup.

it is pricey. but it does allow you to get away with a lot as far as tires and wheel travel go and still have a good looking truck.

if/when i get glass, it'll probably be the AP glass. i like it more for non long travel trucks because it only has a 2.5'' wider design, compared to a 3-6 inch wider design from other companies. plus it's made to mesh perfectly with their bumper which can't hurt. i just don't like how the glassworks or other brands look on non lt. though i do think 4'' glass would look great on john's truck.

unfortunately noone makes a 2'' bedside that i know of, so cutting looks like the way to go there.

here's the AP glass btw. i like it's subtlety

I like the wider look man. I'd do full glass but I'd fuck it up. Thats why in the end I think my truck will be flat beded.

gonna have a shop do the bed?

i like the wider look too, but only when the tires are out far enough to fill the new space.

Yeah the wide is nice but when the tires are a foot in the wheel well it looks weak. And yeah prolly have a shop do it. This isnt gonna be for a while. When I do it I'll link the rear and it'll be a bad ass truck. I havnt gotten stuck in stock form and I have been thru some harry shit.

what's your goal for thpurpose of the truck at that point? depending on what you want it to do, it'd be more useful to link the front first. fron is more expensive though because you need more parts.

One day it will be a strictly off road truck. Drive to trails run it and maybe a weekend toy here and there drive it to work you know. Not my daily. I am really just trying to build it to do its job and not overkill. It does great stock so I imagine when I get the 3" lift and 33"s it will be perfect. Then I will want lockers yada yada. And in the future I'd like to run 35"s with lockers front and rear.

But that day is far away but I can dream. Idk if the leafs do there job they will stay. I would love a sas taco on 37"s but I dont need a solid front axle and I dont need 37"s lol.

if you're not going solid axle, i'd just keep the leafs. get a good set with some longer shocks, and a shackle flip kit and you'll have a grear setup. a nicely linked rear will outperform the IFS front so much that it would be a waste.

I figured so and we don't have anything to technical down here anyway.

On a side note last night on my way to work 10:30p.m. I was sitting at a red light and the light turned green so I ease off the clutch and then slam on the brakes. Some jack ass is wheeling his beach cruiser in the cross walk.... It pissed me off cause it was one of those cross walks that tells you... you have 10.9.8.7 and so on seconds to get the fuck across the street... and how the hell am I suppose to see him in my blind spot... then he is wearing dark colors. I was so fucking pissed and he didn't even make an effort to get the fuck out of the way. I was in the middle lane. So the guy to my right starts honking and yelling and I wish I would have to cause the guy has done this before. People try to cross hwy60 a 8 lane raised median fucking highway at night... not in a crosswalk and just taking there sweet time. I'm amazed more idiots don't die. Other than that pretty good night at work.
