TIRES!

I am looking to get a three inch lift on my tacoma and was wondering what size tires would be good with that and not rub on fenders and what not. I am not looking to modify anything else but the suspension. any inpute would be appreciated.

 

Welcome! As any member will tell you, search, it is your friend. This topic has been covered thousands of times. That being said you can clear 33s with the proper backspacing

 

well appreciate it. still getting used to the site. there is alot of threads and did do some searching but didnt find exactly what i was looking for. but thank you for the advice.

 

I have a 3'' lift on mine and I am running 265/75/16 tires. Some say that they will look too small, but personally, I don't think they look awfully tiny. If your truck is a DD (like mine), then the 265/75 size would be the most practical for gas mileage while still looking good.

I do agree though, that 285's do look badass with 3'' lift though. Just not the most practical choice unless you wheel often.

 

i spent like 2 hours looking into wheels and tires last night. a little better understanding on the numbers. still a little oblivious to it tho. but am still not sure but i think my truck came with 17s. so if i do get new tires will probly just get new wheels as well. and thanks for the input

 

Im on the same boat as you Hog. Im working on getting 20s on 33s tires but not too sure on what offset and backspace without rubbing.
