Would you be able to tow with a bumper like this? Or is it more for looks. I want to build a similar one.

i'd find it very hard to beleive that SDHQ built something like that, and it not be functional and only for looks...

but, by the look of that pic, that thing looks like it couldn't tow a trash can

You could easily tow with a bumper like this if the hitch mounts to the frame in the stock locations. The mounting and stock they used is the most important part, in regards to towing. I wouldn't rely on that bumper to protect the truck from any type of damage though.

^ X2. You dont tow from the outside of the bumper anyway. You actually wouldnt even need the tube there as long as the receiver is mounted strong. Being built by SDHQ it is strong

those are pretty nice... but it seems a little on the expensive side right?

im getting a smoking deal on the cage and everything.... the guy is a very respected on this forum, but he has only done exo cages, bumpers, sliders, and other fab stuff like that. but never a cage like im getting. but he knows exactly what i want and he said he can do it. will just take longer than normal

yeah, they retail expensive... but with poly performance there are ways around that :D

cage is going to be rad... have you gotten new seats? you going to get the bed cage done at the same time and tie the cab and bed together?

while he is making the cage im going to get buckets, im going to try and fit one in the rear too.

we are going to start the bed cage but not finish it fully till i go LT in the rear so we can make it right. while he is making the cage ill be getting a fuel cell, lights, a race radio ETC. yeah were going to tie the whole thing together, he will cage front-rear.

right now im looking for a cheap used car.

im starting to steer away from tripple bypasses. those dam things are so expensive.
