My new boat!!!!!!

Just got a 14ft jon boat with no trailer so I decided since it was free it was worth putting in my 6ft bd. lmao, 40 min drive later and the straps still holding tight I have boat.

Don't those boats have the welded seams instead of just rivets?

 

I dont know, I dropped it off at my dads house the other day, theres two small holes on the bottom of it where the aluminum pelled back, im going to harbor freight tomorrow to get some alumiweld rods, and hopefully that should be able to repair the holes, and ill check, but i do think they are welded

 

all you need now is a 150....that should be enough

 

was planning on 3 supercharger mercury 275's, like they have on the back fountain boats, but no really i am looking around for a 20-30 +/-

 

Don't make the mistake I made.

Tried to weld a hole that was the size of a pin head and it looked like someone put there fist thru it after I was done.

 

lmao, i have the basic mig welder from HF and i know id put hole through it, but i found this stuff called alumiweld from HF that is like soldering, but you can use it with a propane torch, so im assuming that should work

Nice boat! That's all you need to get you were the fish are! I have a 15ft side console one with a 25hp evinrude. With gear and my two boys in the boat I can do 23 mph per my gps. Alumaweld will patch it just make sure you clean the area and heat it up real good before you try and patch it.
