Do you like cruise control?

Cruise is really only for uncrowded stretches of highway or during a long road trip when the legs get tired.

I know way too many people who use cruise control on city roads or crowded highways and it scares the crap out of me.

I still love it and use it every day.

 

It's like $100 in parts and 30 min simple DIY install. If you're automatic then it's one less part to buy and install cuz you won't need the clutch pedal cutoff piece.

 

Same here dude, I am lifted with large tires plus my Taco sits close to 6,000 pounds and it revs way up and sucks down the fuel, it really pisses me off

 

Cruise control was one of the features that my truck had to have.

 

x1000...I am not even lifted and mine will shift down on even the slightest hills, burning more gas and using the transmission for no reason. Totally pisses me off. I only use it when I am on a straight stretch with no hills at all, otherwise it shifts up and down so much it drives me nuts...as soon as I see a hill coming, off it goes.

 

yup, i have this in my cobalt, i like it, i hate the constant shifting of automatic trannys... you will get worse mileage with an automatic in cc than if you just use your foot btw

 

I use it every day for my commute to school since it is 55 miles one way on mostly flat road. but in the hilly areas I use my foot but around 40 miles of that trip is flat and straight dotted line the whole way so I can set it on 60 and ride and most times I can pass with out speeding up or slowing down just move over pass and go back which will give me a 24mpg best.

Until I did this in my old car I never realized how inconsistent my foot was.

 

I use it everywhere

 

When you push in the clutch it disengages. After you get around those roadhoggin trucks, just hit resume. GONE

me like. i use it the most when i know the 5 0 is around. i have lead footitis with that 4.0. i moved up from a scion xb with a 1.5 lol. i don’t see much change with RPM/MPH on much hills. if it is a pretty goo hill i’ll take it off anyways.

i think dad would die with out it. he will use it if we go 8 miles down the interstate.

 

SHIT, I've used it going 35 mph for a little less than a mile!

I seriously have though. Oddly enough though, it wouldn't work at 30 mph or less...

 

I love my CC, I got a 5 speed too so I don't have to worry about it shifting on me

 

hahaha. i do in oak ridge. speed limit is 45. and they have red light cameras and speed cameras. so i set it at 45.
