I love it because it almost appears camo in a number of different scenarios and because it seems to be the rarest of stock colors.

I love it for the same reasons you mentioned. It changes from brown, to golden, to olive drab depending on the amount of sunlight or lack thereof.

All of the above. I've never been a fan of "loud" colors. The pyrite is a little more subdued...without being black. Plus it has sort of a military look to it with all black mods on it.

Not pyrite.. but I hated my gold truck for the longest time.. then I wrecked it and realized how much I liked it. Especially since I had all the black mods+gold= looks pretty good

It's the color of my truck.....

And all of the above stated reasons.

I would have got the Pyrite Mica if they had one equipped the way mine is. Almost bought a used Off Road Pyrite but really wanted the bluetooth and they were asking more than I paid for mine brand new. Anyway, I just like it because it's different.

Pyrite Mica is my fav 2011 color...but if I buy a 2011 (I am trying to hold out till 2012) I would probably just get Super White.

I plan on keeping this truck for many, many years and the metallic flake paints just don't last long term out here in the AZ sun...hence the popularity of white out here.

Spruce Mica is supposed to be an offering in 2012 though... & if so I may have to make an exception for it. Really like that color (though I'd rather have the FJ's Army Green if I could have any color!).

Spruce Mica? Might that be similar to the Timberland?

Hmm Spruce Mica on a Tacoma you say? Love that color as much as BSP and I'd be anxious to see a Taco with that color.

But for the 2010 model year Tacos, my second choice for color would have been Pyrite hands down. Unusual color and it can look badass with the right mods.

I wasn't picky on color when I got it, so I just bought a truck that had the options I want. But over time the color has really grown on me. I get lots of compliments on it, plus its great since its so rare and I see so few on the road

Not to mention how much it shines when its clean!!

Similar in that they are both green, but the Spruce has a bit more "pop" to it that seems to appeal to me whereas the Timberland doesn't as much. I'd definitely buy Pyrite of Timberland. Guess, I'd have to see Pyrite and Spruce next to each other to decide between those two.

But like I said... I'll probably just end up with boring old white! HA!!!!! :)
