Is your truck white or silver? Hard to tell in the pic. I have noticed on mine (silver) the grill looks slightly off on the color. Just figured it was the normal difference between the fiberglass and metal. Not near as bad as your pic though.

bought it new in aug 2009 with 6 miles on it. It's white and it just started turning beige in the last year. I'm going to take it in next week.

I have the same problem but not to the degree that you have it. My grill is slightly darker than my hood but not beige like yours. I bought my mine new in July of 2009.

Yeah, that's really odd. The color really off. My bumper completely lost its clear coat. I made a thread on it. But yeah take it in and have them look at it. Your truck is still new it shouldn't do that.

Looks like most of you who posted are still under the paint warranty. In regards to paint issues, in my region (SE) all the Tacoma fender flares were dull or orange peel looking on brand new trucks on the lot. There was a fender flare TSB, and I had the dealer paint my flares and now they perfectly match. Even though its a metal body/plastic flare, the finish is perfectly matched now between the two. I would look at all the plastic/fiberglass pieces, ie front bumper, flares, grill, etc. and maybe they will paint everything under warranty that does not "perfectly match" with the metal body finish. Good luck everyone...

I thought this was gonna be about the protective strip along the doors for rocks or the fenders not being glossy. This IS actually bad paint. WTF is happening

take it to the dealership since you're still under warranty. see what they will do for you. hopefully you will get a new grille.

J/K man, take it back to the dealer. That should be covered under warrenty... or maybe you could try giving it a good coumpounding then polish and wax before taking it in.

Do not feel left out, I had this same issue with my silver grill. I ended up trading a member here some money and her Chrome grill for mine. Solved the issue, and to me it looks better with the chrome headlights accross the front with the grill too. I think they have some issues with their paint matching on certain colors. I have noticed that the colors are not perfect, like maybe the paint was a different lot number or something. I also noticed it is normally on only the plastic parts, ie. grill, flares and the like.
