LR UCAs with Bilstein/Eibachs? Yes I searched...

    with so many threads out there, its confusing. So I've heard that Light Racing UCAs aren't great with certain coilovers, or so I thought I heard. I'm confused. Something because they don't have as much down travel or droop as a uniball.

    Anyone help out? Thanks in advance.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    uniballed UCAs are definitely recommended for exteneded travel COs.

    Ah, thanks for the response. So its better for extended travel CO but okay with standard travel. Thanks for the clarification.

    I have LR UCAs with 5100's and Eibachs. Excellent set up! There are many others with this set up as well, just search the suspension section.

    What's your lift set at? I wanted to go 3" and still have a nice ride. I understand many of the CO's aren't meant for 3" and are better at 2-2.5".

    I love the grill on your super white BTW. I'm looking into that look too. Phew, I just bought the truck and am already thinking of all these mods.

    I have the 5100's set at 0.85 with the Eibach lift spring. I'm at about 2.8-2.9" higher then stock. Middle of my hub to the wheel arch is 23" which is what most people end up at with a 3" lift. I also have a 2" AAL in the back with 5100's. The ride is great...much, much better than stock. The LR UCA's have plenty of downtravel, and my alignment is superb. Check out my pics if you wanna see what it looks like. The grill is just a billet grill I sanded and painted with 3M rubberized paint, texturized with a scotchbrite pad, then hit with clear...super easy.

    Yeah, your truck sits nicely and looks sweet with that grill work you did. I have a super white also so this is a fine example of what i'm after. where did you get the grill and if its okay to ask, about how much $$ ? And the emblems?

    funny i posted this for bilsteins but now i'm really wanting to go with Icon ext CO since theyre supposedly better for up to 3.5, though i think they perform best at 2.5-3". of course they're more bucks. but there's a group buy going on now so hopefully it comes through.

    Your gonna need a uni-ball uca if you get extended coilovers, LR won't cut it.

    Extended travel coilovers are longer, I forget how much, but they are longer then stock which is why you need a uni-ball uca to run them.

    I must have missed something , I thought the OP was asking about Eibachs which I don't think are longer than OME coils
