does anyone else have a family that drives them nuts?

Ridiculous!! What is her problem? I have never understood the need to go to every birthday party for my siblings kids. Completely unnecessary. Graduation, religious passages, fine. Birthday? not so much!

Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if you missed Christmas?

But here's my view on it. My sister is a complete hypocrite. Her middle kid supposedly has SEVERE peanut allergies, so much so that they can't have stuff in their house that was even made in a place where peanuts are, like oh I don't know, M&M's. One time this past winter my wife and I were there and we and my parents went out to eat. I brought home leftovers.
When I went to eat them, they asked where they were from. I told them the restaurant and they flipped out on me. See, the restaurant has buckets of peanuts sitting out at the tables, and you just throw the shells on the floor. So apparently the take home box or food may have peanut leavings on them. nevermind the fact that they never touched the floor. But that's not the worst part. 3 months later, on her facebook page, same kid is posted eating a cupcake, except he didnt eat the cupcake, he ate all the M&m's OFF of the cupcake. But that's not a big deal. nevermind the fact that 3 months before I was ripped a new asshole for having a box that was NEAR a peanut shell

Also, as I said, my wife and I were told we were expected to attend every childs birthday party. currently her kids birthdays are in April, July and September. So basically I would be spending 3 weekends up there in a 6 month period. The last 4 times I have been down to visit, which was 4 times in a 2 month period when our grandmother was sick/dying, I asked to see my nephews, and was always given some lame excuse that I couldn't. They were always sick/busy/whatever. On the way down to my my grandmothers funeral I called my sister and said I would like to see my nephews. She never called me to tell me I could. Later on I found out that she told my wife that she didn't let me because her and I weren't on speaking terms.

So basically it's she wants me to see my nephews, but only when it's acceptable to her. It's either birthdays or never. Fuck that.
I'm done with her. All she does is create drama and I hate drama. She's the one with the problem, not me. So she needs to figure out how to fix it.

 

We already miss christmas every other year, cause we go up to international falls minnesota every other xmas to visit my wifes parents.
