Looking at new and used Tacomas and have a couple questions.

I went today looking at new 2009 Tacomas (TRD Off Road, 2x4, double cab) and was disappointed that they don't have a dark blue anymore. I do however like the metallic gray. I just love those trucks!

I also found a pre-owned 2007 dark blue Tacoma (TRD Off Road, 2x4, double cab) on the web that I'm also interested in.

My question is what are the differences in a 2007 , 2008 and 2009 Tacoma TRD Off Road, 2x4, double cabs?

I know the tail lights changed in 09 and the 09 has a backup camera and monitor. Those are the onle differences I know about. Edmunds.com says the 2007 and 2008 are the exact same but it's hard to believe there's not some tiny changes. Can yall please tell me the differences (even if they're small differences) in the 2007 , 2008 and 2009 TRD Off Road, 2x4, double cab?

Did you do a search? trying to keep you away from the flames here! this has been discussed at some length. The short answer is - Not much difference besides the backup cam, change in tail lights, maybe side curtain airbags. Look for the thread. there are some other minor changes but nothing that matters to me. I have an 06 and just did the search as i wanted an '09 in magnetic grey. great color. for the difference in price and lack of difference in features I'll stick with my low mileage Black Sand Pearl 06 DC TRD.

Still haven't found anything on the changes in the 07 to 08. I've searched and can't find much. Surely they changed a few small things.

The 09 interior is the same as previous years except for the radio HU and lower portion of the dash where the Aux inputs are located (plus some other minor things I'm forgetting)

There aren't many differences between 05-09.

09s spare tire has no Tire pressure sensor.
The 06s- 08s have 5, 2005 Tacomas have none!
09s headrests are different too so I am told.

Post up some pics when you finally bring it home.

5 TPMS sensors (tire pressure monitoring system) 4 main wheels and 1 in the spare. The 09's only have them in the 4 main wheels.

05's don't have them at all.

The 07 I'm looking at has a little white strip down the side located a couple inches above the door handles. Is that stock for the 07s or do you think that was put on aftermarket?
