What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed redline hood supports - no more hood prop! I painted the strut body and mounts white before installing for a more OEM look.

 

^ Damn, I can't believe that's an '05. The underside of your hood is just too clean! Nice touch on the white shocks.

Thank you, Thank you. That is my first bumper that i have built. Last month I made rock sliders for my truck no problem, and had extra tube and was just tinkering around with my bender and was able to get a good form fitting bar and just kept adding to it.

 

I put a 5th brake light on above the bumper

 

Made a shelf for the dog to ride in the back of the access cab. It !

Had clutch chatter before I installed my lift. So I droped it off at LIBERTYVILLE TOYOTA in IL. did all the other service work but could not find any clutch problems. They are clueless. Still had bucking , put in lift than after 150 miles "what the $#^*" . Hard knocking sound center of cab. After many calls to Toyota ect. Carring bearing, installed new, and a spacer, drives better than new. I had no vibrations nothing. next time a woods drive shaft.

 

Put the solenoid to the receiver winch into a splashproof box.

Took it to the dealership to have the steering intermediate shaft and blower chirp fixes done. Much improved!

 

WELLLL yesterday... Washed, clay bared, washed, waxed, washed, detailer spray, then conditioned the black flares, mirrors, handles, and scrubbed the all pro bumpers and sliders... looking pretty shiny! now need to detail the inside!!! looks horrible... by my standards...

also added some stickers, never thought I would, but I did, and I LIKE!

Turned 24K at 23 months of ownership. I might make 36K at 36 months.

These Tacoma's are pretty dependable. Very low maintenance.

 

Steveolo, have you noticed an increase in wind noise. I had these on an older truck and the noise was huge but the benefit was better. I think I'll put them on my 2009 but was wondering about noise.

 

Was going to clean off my hella lamp covers this morning and take one off to find a cracked lens! F'n rocks are too much even with covers on. Guess i gotta figure out if i want to replace the lens or go for new lights????
