Whew..... I was hoping this wasn't a recent escapade.....
How on earth did she roll it???? Sounds like operator error. Was this recent? I'll bet the kid was as traumatized as the mom. That sucks. I hate carrying body parts to the ER. Legs especially - kinda bulky.

was kind of a steep hill, i'm guessing she went up it on an angle. just happened last week i believe. her kid is getting a bravery award. he got up ran to the house and grabbed a phone for his mom to call 911. he also ran up to the road and waited for the ambulance to arrive so he could show them where his mom was

I can honestly say, I've never considered the weight of carrying just a full human leg.... but yea it would be pretty awkward to do

on another note aboot body parts, a guy i played hockey with last year was in afhganistan with the canuck military as a medic. he was telling us about a mission they got sent out on, apparently from the base they could see an insurgent setting up an ied so they bombed his ass. when they got there all they found was his lower leg and the head guy told the medic he had to carry the leg back to base

 If I wasn't from the north, he would probably try to convince me they are......
Awesome for the kid!! You know, believe it or not, that doesn't surprise me with the 3 y/o. I've seen them do some brave things too. They are smarter than we give them credit for!! I'm glad I don't have hills on my property..... I wouldn't let my munchkins help me if I did.

Well, plus, where to put it??? I mean sometimes these people don't really know the extent of their injuries. It's not like I can say "Hey, do you mind if I rest this on your stomach while we wheel you into the ER?" :D
