So today I went to my "friendly" (the sales guy was an ass) Toyota dealer to drive a Sport and Off-Road. Well I've decided the Sport is for me (both were DC SB's the Sport was a 4X4 and the O-R was a 4X2) since the O-R is way to bouncy and spongy for my taste. Anyways, I was driving and have congregated a couple questions and a picture request but we'll get there in a minute.
Both of the trucks I was driving were spongy but the Sport felt much less, are the shocks actually geared to the trucks or would this all be in the tires they had on?
The brakes were freakin' weak, I know that they both had 6 miles on the ODO when I first started out but the brakes seemed really weak and the pedal travel was immense. It was like the clutch on the 09 WRX's. Does this ever get tighter or change over the life of it?
The engine is amazing, I never had to get the RPMs above 2250 to get up to speed, it was just so perfectly smooth. I was going 50 before I knew it!

On to the rest, I brought them back and the sales guy started asking me about offers and pricing and promotions they had and I told him I was stricktly here on research (told him that when he first came over) and when he heard that he just got so pissed, cracked me up though.

As I was just kinda scouring around looking thoroughly looking over the trucks on the outside/inside, I saw this Super White TRD Sport DC SB 4x2 FULLY WRAPPED UP inside and out. It was unlocked and I hopped in and was amazed. Something about it made the outside feel smaller and the inside bigger. Maybe it was the color??? The whole thing just felt so right. (that's what she said) I almost walked out with it but had other things holding me back...like I haven't sold the Mazda3 yet. This one was just so perfect in every way I can't believe I didn't buy it yet. Oh well, it should be there next weekend.

Once you're done reading my essay, I have one request:
SUPER WHITES, LET'S SEE THEM TRUCKS!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, and I hope to be in that SW Sport DC SB really soon.
If you're curious the sticker says $27,699.

Man I love my Indigo Ink, but every time I see a white Tacoma on the road I find myself starring.

I wanted white, but they didn't tell me I could wait for one, so I got the red...

Make the salesman sweat a little. Check out other dealers - use their on line sales department. Get other quotes and see if they'll match the price you get... Don't go with the first price they quote you.

i have a white truck also. Id probably never own another white vehicle. Seems as thou white for me is bad luck or just the truck is. Plus it ALWAYS looks dirty. scratches arent to bad, but chips are the worst since toyota uses the greyish primer

I think the white handles neglect the best. Mine is always sort of filthy due to environment.

My bad for not finding the other thread but I was looking for answers to my couple questions more than pics.

But pics make every thread more fun!!
    *the more you know!*

Great looking trucks BTW, I didn't get the chance to snap a couple pics with the phone but once I buy it you guys will drool. It has to be the most beautiful Tacoma I have ever (luckily) laid my eyes on.

FYI, I plan to go much lower than 27,699...I'm thinking 22K-22.5K OTD will be a good price.

Good luck on getting otd 22k. Probably won't happen on a 2009 DC. Check carsdirect.com & edmunds.com. I have used carsdirect with very good luck. Carsdirect has a free buying service. They negotiate for you.

I was quoted $26k otd on a $29k stickered 2009 DC 4x2 sport trd truck.
