when I bought my 2011 Tacoma I got a toyota care booklet with cards. the booklet states; free oil changes to 25k and free emergency roadside assistance . I went in for my first oil change and the stealership says 1 hr 45 min wait, WTF, for an oil change ?? I said " screw that" and changed it myself in 10 min. Will you take advantage of the "free" oil changes??

When my mom bought an FJ a month ago they told her she only needs to get her oil changed every 10,000 miles and they would do it for free... Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no way that's good for it to wait that long.

I think all the 2011 v6 Tacoma's say 10k intervals for oil changes, the 4cyl Tacoma says 5 K intervals. they switched over to synthetic from the factory.

Oh, I don't know I guess 10,000 per oil change just seems like a lot for a gas engine to me....

I switched to synthetic ages ago, I've been letting it go till 6 since its all highway miles, but I really start to notice a loss in power at 5k. Can't imagine 10k!

the dealer tried to put me down for the platnum toyota care package for free maintenance and oil changestill 100 k i asked the sales rep "whats this extra 2,500 bucks added on to my bill?" he said it was my warentee so i dold him to take it off the bill i was getting ticked off at that point because that wasnt the first time they tried to pull the wool over my eyes to get me to sighn something. i hate car dealerships.......... 2,500 bucks is a lot of oil changes. I told the guy well if toyotas are as good as they claim i wont need it lol he didn, have much to say after that lol

I think you still get the oil changes even if you decide not to buy the warranty so I wouldn't look at it as $2500 in oil changes. I believe the warranty can be bought any time before the original one expires.

I was told that my 2011 v6 had 5k intervals...now my wife New Beetle has 10k intervals...but it came from the factory with synthetic.

Yes, I use it. I am more than capable of doing the changes myself but would prefer the liability be on their shoulders in case there's ever a warranty issue.

I may trade my AC for a DC soon so having 100% dealer performed maintenance is important to me.

When i bought mine a couple days ago the dealership didnt even tell me about the toyota care.. i didnt find out till the customer service survey phone call. They asked if the dealer told me about it and i said no. So does this book of coupons suposed to come with the truck or does it get mailed to you? And i plan on using all of them.. i just traded in my old truck that was draining my account thanks to ford techs just guessing and the crazy prices for dealer maint. so bring on all the free stuff!!

I didn't get coupons...I just call and schedule an appointment...bad on the dealer for not saying anything.

I use it. and I'll continue to use it for the 36,000 interval that it came with. It
is a matter of convenience. I drop it off, walk to work and then p/u after the day is done. I've never seen a dealership do such a good job of washing a vehicle.

I use my Toyota Care service and have not had any problems. The coupon book came in the mail but the service department doesn't bother collecting them, it's all in the computer. I might keep coming back for oil changes after the free service is used up. It's cheap and fast and saves me the trouble of cleaning the stall at the base auto hobby shop.

Yeah i'll use it. I've always changed my own oil but what the heck, it's free so why the heck not.
If the wait is too long do what I do and make an appointment.

Yup I use it. Free oil change, why not? Appointments make all the difference in the world though.
