Go with the "deck plate mod", you will get the same gains as with any other $200 CAI. It cost me $12 for the deck plate, $5 for the sensor safe silicone, and $50 for the afe pro dry s filter.

So uh.. dumb question... is the fuel capacity of the 2nd gen trucks 21.1gal? For some reason, I thought it was 19....

AND -- Drove to Bluewater this weekend. Made it 135 miles on half a tank, about 100 of that was freeway time, 75-80mph. Great gas mileage. Strike one. Got stuck in like 8 inches of mud, and my father in law had to pull me out with his GMC. Love the truck to death, but I'm not going to be heartbroken over selling it.

I don't get it... plug changed within 30k ago, synthetic fluids about 40k ago in rear and front diff, synthetic oil about 1.5k ago... good gas.... little to no wind, @ 75mph? Usually I go about 80-90 and get the same or a bit less mileage. Coming back I got 83 miles on just over a quarter, which isn't too much better than what I got heading out there, and, MY WIFE DROVE, (Ramon), eliminating the driver factor...
