Idiot Knucklehead on the loose.

Saturday on a trip to Home Depot to pick up some potted flowers, some low down inconsiderate knucklehead hit my Taco and drove off. Bad enough it's dinged up, that can be fixed but this idiot might as well stuck a gun to my head and demanded $500.00. I'll be going back to HD on Monday in hopes that their parking lot camera's got it on tape and the plate is readable. Dare I hope? Here are some pics of the damage.

Well if the truth be known, for the first ten minutes I was spitting firey lead, but it doesn't do any good to be pissed when the object of your anger isn't around to receive it. This doesn't mean I won't get all fired up again if I catch the scofflaw.

Dude I would be pissed about that!!! Inconsiderate bastards is what they are. Did you file police report as soon as you saw it? If you did and they have it on tape game over. Kinda depends on where you were in the parking lot whether they got it on tape or not though. Hope you weren't parked way out

 

You know, Home Depot doesn't have to show you their security tapes. In fact I'd be really surprised if they do

Go to home depot and check the security cams for sure, and if you are positive it happened in the home depot parking lot then file a police report. Had an incident with my son in law thinking an accident happened in a store parking lot and he filed a police report. Came out to be it didn't happen in the parking lot and the cams saw that and the cop wrote him a $500 ticket for a false report. Got it torn up cuz it was just plain stupid but eventually found the culprit and all was resolved peacefully with out bloodshed.

Good idea about the police report, I'll do that first thing tomorrow. If HD won't show me the tape maybe they will show it to my insurance representative. I'm pretty much given over to the loss of $500.00 at this point anyway.

 

Crap man, that's almost as bad as pouring salt on an open wound. Glad the cop came around and tore up the dumb ass ticket. And extra cool the idiot was brought to justice.

 

Nah, had to go to court. That particular cop ran through a corn field backwards and hadn't been the same ever since. But the JP had a good amount of sense in him.

 

They will show it to the police who can ask for a copy of it if it was a hit and run shown clearly.

 

I don't know conclusively it happened at HD, but based on all other events of the day, I believe it did happen there. Maybe the manager could look and confirm whether or not it did happen, if so cops could do the rest.

 

My wife is a manager at Depot in Washington St. She said "we're not allowed to ever show the customer the recording, but we can call LP (loss prevention) and tell them what to look for. If we see it, we can give that information to the police, no one else"

Sorry dude, shitty policy.

So file a police report and then contact depot with the officers email/number who needs the information .. she did say they will tell you if they saw anything or not. Just not specifics ..

 

Fixed it for you lol for some reason when you meant to say charcoal cigs beer and hookers it must have auto corrected potted flowers. But indeed I would be pissed. Cant believe he didnt wait or leave his info. I hope they have good cameras tho. It will suck to shell out 500 of your own money.
