I couldn't find the post where you can post your truck's picture. Oh well, here it is. Nothing to really brag about. Its a 96 taco regular cab, bench seats, manual tranny, crank windows, etc etc.

Thankee guys. Would you believe that I bought it without a rear bumper or radio? Back then you could really buy em' stripped. At least it had AC. Traded a old Celica for it. I believe my payments were around $125 a month!

Your truck is fitting to your "handle". Even got the old school white walled tires to match the paint, very nice dude!

430K?! Man. I thought mine had a lot. Around 220k on mine so far. No problems to speak of except that the gears used to pop out of gear, which I fixed yesterday with a new seat and lever cap. Otherwise, its been a good truck. It has been through hell and back. Not visible in the pic are tiny little dimples from a hail storm years ago.

Oh ya- I would've kept the original hub caps, but over the years, I lost 2 of them, and the dealership wanted $75 EACH. Finding used ones were impossible. Hence why I have cheesy plastic chrome versions now.

ACTUALLY,, that is why/where the "handle" come from. It just looks like an oldgezrs truck. Im not that old. I was going to get a custom license plate with my "handle" on it but this truck will be retired soon now that I have my 09 in the driveway. Im not sure it will fit with my 09 look.

I lost one hubcap while i was driving down the highway. I had this feeling come over me to look in my mirror. I looked back and sure enough I saw my hubcap following me down the road. I saw it just prior to it lauching into the woods. Luckily I went back and found it.

Strange that something told me to look at that particular moment though.

Those are the original metal ones and they are very heavy. When they come off at 70mph they are like a missile.

Not sure why they got rid of the locking fuel doors. Not to rock the boat, but I looked at the newer versions of the small Tacos and except for the bed, which seemed beefier, and the interior, which seemed a lot bigger, I thought they'd skimped on some things, like locking fuel doors, etc etc. I kind of think the old small tacos are a tad better in some ways.

When I lost my hub caps, I was doing 80 MPH on a major freeway. It came zinging off and went down the freeway until it nailed a pretty nice Audi. I just kept driving! Needless to say, it was gone.
