    I'll bet it's pretty. I've never been there. Friend of mine moved to some town close to Corpus Christie a few years back. I hate the heat here in the summer, but the fact that I don't have to shovel snow anymore AND I can enjoy water sports and drive my Camaro almost all year round is a BIG bonus and worth the hot months of summer. :D

    Good Morning Susan! How's Zoie?
    I love the water..... I lived near the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and Lake Michigan. The house I'm in now is 5 minutes from a beautiful lake which is on the backwaters of the Chattahoochee River. Soon I will save up some money and get a boat and some Sea Doos. Right now I just go fish off the pier. :D

    A few different bass, catfish, crappie, and carp. What's weird is..... they eat catfish down here. Up north - that is like eating carp. I'm told the catfish down here are different because they are farmed.... The lake is like 5850 acres. Pretty big. When I fish, it's not to really get something to eat as much as it's very peaceful for me. When I lived in Illinois, my ex (Canadian) and I had a 42 foot Silverton with a fly bridge and 8 down riggers with a lead core out the center. We went out every weekend. I miss his boat. And the 4 Sea Doos. :( Not him though!!! haha

    Zoie is fine... sleeping at the moment... Have to limit her outside time... she plays too hard and it's hot out there... Thankfully she's content when in the house. I don't want her to turn into an outside dog like Annie did :eek:

    Savor the quiet time.... LOL Yeah - we had 45 minute show on the lake I live by. I was on the fire truck last night on standby and about 10 minutes before the show..... we got a call for someone who had a tree struck by lightning. Boy did it get hit!! Destroyed 100 ft tree. Split from the top all the way down and hollowed it out. Tonight - my sis and I are gonna do fireworks at her house. :woot: :oldglory: Benefit of that, is I don't have to clean up the mess!! :yay:
