Sweet Intense Tim, I've always loved those. Been tempted to pull the trigger on a Tracer VP frame..........

Its in proto-type form right now, with the outside and some pieces from my old rack, and some new white pieces as well.

I plan on changing the design some, to get a little more stability/tire hold.

I currently have a SwingCase mounted on the driver side, so I cannot put a bike on that side without removing the case. I am thinking of doing 2 more "spaces" between the ones there now, so I can run 1 bike in the center, 2 bikes in the "between spaces", or 3 + bikes with the SwingCase removed...

It attaches via bolts/washers/wing nuts, so it only takes a minute to remove or put it in. I can get the bolts out, but I generally slide them to one side if I am carrying something that goes up against the cab, and they stay back there 99% of the time.

And no, the Chromag sticker is not on crooked. The letters are vertical (as planned), the bear is supposed to look that way.

I've been meaning to post pics of my new Trek Gary Fisher collection wahoo. I love it. I went for about a mile and half ride around town to try to get into shape.

What kind of rear tire is everyone running? I picked up a wtb weirwolf and I don't think it is aggressive enough. I may move it to the front and put something else in the back. Suggestions?

Right now wifes new bike has a Specialized Sworks The Capitan 2bliss tire (with tube, as stock) in 2.0. My bike has the stock Specialized Eskar 2bliss (with tube, as stock) and my Chromag is running a 2.1 Nevegal in the rear.

And while I understand checking on here, your best bet is to find a local board, or hit up some local shops to see what is working in your area.

Sockmonkey - I see you are local to me. Where do you ride at?

A popular setup I see is less aggressive on rear (Kenda small block eight) and more aggressive tread block up front for good bite and precise steering. I like the WTB moto raptor.

I run Bontrager tubeless tires. If you want an aggressive tire check out the Kenda Nevegal

I had this bike for about 8 weeks and became disappointed with how the derailleurs performed. The rear specifically.

That kenda looks pretty nice. I'll have to see if the local joint has them. I put a post on a mtb, just figured I'd post here too.

I know the local joint stocks the continental trail king which looks pretty good and get decent reviews. Any thoughts on putting the weirwolf up front or keep what I have?

Very common, from cheap up to the highest end of bikes. Cable stretch is a problem. Just time for a basic once over/tune up, should have you back and ready to go for quite some time, after its running smoothly again.

I'm on version 2.0 of similar pvc rack, 4 bikes. I modded it by cutting segments out of the top bar and shortening them, then sleaving with a smaller dia pipe and running a piece of1/2: rod with several inches of all thread welded and a large T handle nut to tighten and squeeze the front wheels a little. Added a little extra stability, but was overall a long run for a short slide.

Tried a tune up. Guy at my dealer even tried it out and the rear would jump gears randomly on the trail. Upgraded to my X-cal with x-7 rear derailleur and its smooth as butter.
