You need to put a little more thought into your question.

Case in point, we Northerners and the Canucks are going to use 4 wheel drive way more from November to March, than we are likely to from April to October.

We're we live, 'on-road' driving is more challenging at times, 3-4 months out of the year, than what many of you others consider to be 'off-roading'.

I didn't answer because the point of my previous post was that it is a region dependant question. Answers are going to depend on many factors.

The answer varies for me in particular, depending mostly on the season. It is a way of life for me 4 months out of the year. I can use it daily for 3 weeks, and then i might not again for a week and a half. (See 'Lake snows')

On the other hand, i rarely use it from May to Otober and into November.

Do you have a particular reason for this question other than to create a poll?

I was just wondering but with all the negative responses I have gotten is is not worth knowing.
As for wnytacoma I do know about lake snows for I drive a 18 wheeler and end up in the Great Lakes region more times than I care to in the winter.

Once or twice a month in summer then in winter atleast once a day ( more often twice a day ) Some days just run on 4x4 all day. No point of disconnecting. :turtleride:

Will it mess anything up if you don't use it for 6 months?

Yeah its goign to be hard to engage and disengage. Fliiping switch once a month helps lubricate things

I recommend that anyone who has 4x (especially those with E locker) engage both at least once a month regardless of where you live, more than a few members here that haven't used these options for a period of time encountered failures to engage when they needed it.. Its not a mechanical engagement, its electrical & if you don't use it... you'll lose it when you need it, I've seen this on trail runs before & it took some guys up to an hour to get into 4x mode, locked mode ,etc;...
