    I just got my Tacoma it's a 6 speed manual and it runs great, I just had one question about my clutch it seems to ingauge at the top of the peddle. Does that mean my clutch is warn out ?

    I disagree, I am fairly new and have seen lots of people get help. One its a holiday weekend. Two, you "will" get smart ass comments but the same ones making the comments will usually try to help. C- Still need more info. People are'nt always going to comment on the obvious stuff like the clutch is "suppose" to engage at the top of the peddle, and disengage when you push the peddle in. So again more info is needed as to the problem.

    I test drove the 6 before buying the 5AT. The clutch engaged the pressure plate at the top of the brand new truck as well if that helps. I didn't like the 6 speed at all. No it doesn't mean the clutch is on it's way out it just means you need to learn it.

    Thanks for the info it all helps silly or not.. I was reading on another thred someone said to put it in 4th and matt the gas if it dosent rev up the clutch is good .. Is that worth trying ?

    If it engages all the way at the end of the pedal travel it's on it's way out try touching the pedal in 6th and see if it slips if so then you'll know.

    i just drove around the block got it roling put it in 6th and floored it and it wouldnt rev up past 2000 si its good !!
