I chose Sam Adams Double Bock and burgers instead. The Chinese don't want anything down here. They only own the debt of the District of Columbia (purchased with trade deficits).

ok canadians i have a story that will make you feel good about our health care system.
a hockey teammate of mine went down to vegas for a ncaa recognition camp. he got his arm broken the 2nd day. his dad had to come back to stoon to work and he ended up leaving about 5 hours before my buddy broke his arm. the guy who runs the camp wouldnt take my buddy to the hospital because he thought that he might get stuck with the hospital bill. after about 5 hours of trying to figure out what to do my buddy got one of the guys on his camp team to drive him to the hospital. when he got there they wouldnt look at him until he could prove that he had insurance. after another 5 hours of trying to prove he has insurance he finally gave up and went back to the hotel. the next day he got up and flew home to saskatoon. his parents picked him up from the airport. they immediately went to the hospital and they fixed him up within a few hours.
so to all of the canadian on here. dont get hurt or sick in the states.

WOW. I'm not sure what state he was in, but around here NOBODY gets refused healthcare - regardless of insurance or not. I'm sorry your buddy went through that.
And that is the legal age of consent in most states, some are younger - here it is 17 I believe.

I believe that applies by law to any hospital that accepts Medicare/Medicaid by federal law. They are required to provide emergency care.

I've seen illegal Mexican immigrants get treated at Catholic hospitals and regular ones. The Catholic ones aren't allowed to turn anyone away.

they would take your insurance info, make you sit in the waiting room for a couple hours, take you to a room when one becomes available where you wait another couple hours, then provide the care and/or treatments required... atleast that's how it went last time I had to go to the hostpital.

I sliced my thumb about a year and a half ago, had to goto emerg. I was at the hospital for 5 hours for 7 stitches.
