People with multiple tattoos i need help!

i know it all depends on the artist and where you go and how big but i want this on my back, like my shoulder blade area and want to see if i could get some estimates from yall. i dont want it as detailed as it is in the pic but here it is ...... idef want the ship going into the dark the moon and the albatros with some of the water.. anybody have any clue? thanks

Go with a good artist for black and white and you will get your detail for the same cost.

 

You are gonna get the best price if you make an appointment and give them it before hand. They tend to overprice walk-ins a lot. But i think it will be less then 500 if i had to guess. Awesome choice by the way.

i cant spent that much money but i am not a half bad artist so i am going to just probebly draw exactly what i want and go to atlanta with it. hopefully i can keep it looking somewhat the same but small and less detail

 

print it out, take to shop, get a quote.

Most shops are charing by the hour for a large piece. For some of the best shops around me are $125 an hour.

 

Remember you can always do it in stages. Get it drawn in first, then shade it in later. Ink costs money. If you do have it done in steps try to get the same artist to do it, and make sure he is good. Don't go for the cheapest artist, you can do a search on google to find out what happens when you do.

 

Cheap work isn't good,good work isn't cheap. Shops around me are getting $150 an hour.

 

There is a lot of small detail work that may not be possible to reproduce with a tattoo, it's also a style of work that isn't done by every artist. A lot of the more prominent artist have websites now, if I were you, I would spend time researching artists online to try to find someone who's style suits what you want. At the same token, depending on how big you want that piece, it will not be cheap. That is high end tat work, and, IF it can be done, it will have to be big to get as much detail as possible and it could run well over a grand.
