    Nope. It WAS supposed to be a small closed Beta, but then they allowed current member to invite. Then that turned into 1000s of new people. So, they shut down the invite portion. I'm not sure about the above mentioned method. If anyone has indeed devised a work-around, I could sure use an invite as well.

    I thought I wouldn't want in, but then I started reading a couple days afterward and, of course, changed my mind. I want to come out and play too...

    This is how they drive up membership. Make invite only, shut down invite... make people want it so bad they are dying to get in, then when they open it up people sign up in droves. Pavlovian internet response.

    i remember when i first got on facebook, less than 100 people at my university, now 100's of thousand of folks and lots to do to kill time.

    Google+ will probably start out the same way, but google is a company that makes cool shit and it will be forever growing...
