the 4 cyl has a strange baffle or something that is molded behind the fender and goes from behind the headlight all the way back to the fender. boyd looked at me like wtf is that thing lol. i'm still confused about what it is..

the snorkel is awesome though and i can't wait for the line-xtra now so i can go power through some trees without freddy krugering the side of the truckster.

trim for what:laugh: i trimmed alot for the snorkel and i did the cab mount chop for the tires also had to pull the front portion of the wheel well forward and bolted that in place. i may need to trim the flares, but that is only at full stuff and lock did i hear them.

I would go with 16's and a different tire. 18's are a little big for a truck IMO.

    285/75 on a 16 or 285/70/ on a 17 in wheel! A 275 70 18 is a huge tire for this big of a truck!

Ha ha well my tires attacked the front plastic near the bumper and the part behind them where the mudflap used to be. I went down some trails yeaterday and about went crazy with the noise. Eventually, with some speed the plastic gave up and tore off lol

the vision-x lights came in today i'm in the process of mounting them up now i have 4 solos going on the light bar.

i'm conflicted about what to put in the factory holes though the vision-x solo primes are bad ass but thats another 330$ where as the xenon blazer set-up with a 3200k bulb are great but imho not as nice as the vision-x maybe i will just bite the bullet and go with the vx.

    any suggestions would help.

I am about to order this lift, but i want to know how it is settling for those of you who have it installed already -and have put some miles on it... budget is making me order this over an ome setup!

i plan on wheeling just to get me out into the sticks to do some bow hunting where others might not want to go, so hopefully this kit and some tires gets me there without breaking

i was in your same situation like 3 weeks ago. i had originally wanted to outfit my truck with all arb accessories as they have been proven and have a reputation for durability.

i can say that after buying the procomp lift and knowing a few guy's not only on tw, but meeting a few in person i can say with out a doubt that you can wheel the shit out of this kit with out incident! its very tough for trails and articulates very well and apparently is just as durable as the ome kit.

the draw backs may include a slightly stiffer ride combined with the almost inescapable fact that you will more than likely get more than three inches out of it. for instance i got 4.5 and its just now setteling down a bit now i'm at a little 4 1/4 inches.

other than these cons if you look at them in that way this is a solid complete lift that can be had for 390 bucks shipped! which is a steal imho.

i think the procomp lift has a very aggressive looking stance its a beefy looking 3 inch kit for sure also the spring rates are just over 700 pounds! this probably contributes to the stiffer ride and most people getting more than the listed 3 inches.

this also allows you in the future to bolt on pretty much any trail armor skids plate bumpers front and rear with out negatively affecting your suspension in any way. seeing as the 886 coil from ome is their spring designed for added weight such as the things mentioned above and its spring rate is 600 or 650 pounds.

this is a nice feature that will allow you wiggle room in the future if you do decide on armor. good luck and post pics heres one of my regular cab for reference:) oh and check out the light bar guys the vision-x lights are on woot!
