I knew that Murder 1 would be a hard sell. Noone is ok with saying yeah I THINK she did it and then shes given the death penalty. The prosecution was missing some important facts to prove that.

But the duct tape over the little girls mouth? If she was already dead/drownd, there is no need for duct tape. So i thought for sure shed get SOMETHING. Shes prob already making plans for this weekend....

She wasn't even found guilty of child neglect even thouigh her child was missing for over a month and it wasn't until her mom called the cops that it was brought to light...wtf?

 

Yeah I agree that she is cold and she was def involved in this in some way or another. But without solid proof you cant just fry her for it. We dont live in Singapore. Innocent until proven guilty

 

yea, she was the one to search "chloroform" and various other searches on google using her computer profile. Her mother tried to claim she did it but was later impeached by other witnesses

 

The alternative theory is that the jury believes that CA's father killed the child with chloroform. And, that she covered for him because he sexually abused her throughout her childhood. He attempted suicide soon after the body was discovered. He had an affair during the search.

It will be most interesting to hear what the jury has to say.

The problem with finding solid evidence was the fact that she waited 30 some odd days to say that Cayley was missing, and all of the inclement weather that Florida received during the time that they were searching for the remains

The State of Florida wasted a shit ton of money on this

 

Why can't they nail her for not reporting a missing child?

 

unless you're on the jury, you have no idea the true facts of the case presented to them. they found that the DA did not provide enough evidence, thats the fault of the state, not the legal system
