I wasn't all that surprised to be honest. Never seemed like they had any kind of solid case, as has been mentioned numerous times already. A few strips of duct tape with no finger prints on it that you could probably find in every garage in America and a search for chroloform that could have been done by anyone with access to their computer doesn't remotely come close to proving guilt. Can't hate on the jurors, they did their job. You can't convict someone based on a pre-conceived opinion from the media. Can't blame the legal system either. Anyone doing so should go to some un-civilized country and get accused of something and see how it works out for them.

Don't get me wrong, I think she had some role in this, whether it was premeditated murder or otherwise, but the only place blame can be put is on the state of Florida and the DA. They're the ones that brought a weak case that was based on circumstantial evidence at best that never even painted an exact picture of what really happened.

I'd let her have my baby- just gotta keep it away from the in-laws ;)

Seriously though, I don't think she murdered her daughter. My opinion? The kid drowned. There was definitely some serious crime committed in not reporting it, trying to cover it up etc., but people freak out and try to hide shit all the time.

Think about how often people crash their car then report it stolen, or lose their wallet/purse/jewelry,etc and claim break a window in their car or house and say they got burglarized...

People die of drug overdoses and other accidents and the body gets hidden because the people freaked out, or were doing something illegal and don't want to get in trouble. Its sick and totall inexcusable, but it happens.

Also dont forget there was no chloroform found in the body. The prosecution actually said in closing arguments that "we can only hope" she used chloroform. WTF hope? You think you can pin her with a hope? This case was not ready for trial and the prosectution pushed it for media purposes. Maybe the few of you in Florida should have got involved instead of just bitching about the outcome

I watched closing arguments. The defense did a bang up job debunking the prosecutor who kinda phoned it in.
