    Well hello there.... :wink:

    Had a very busy day. Running lots o calls. It's bad enough I'm in a reserve ambulance that won't do more than 65 mph - downhill or straight road - otherwise about 55. AND have to check the oil after every call because it's leaking like a sieve. When we were picking up dinner we got a call on the other side of the county - took almost 30 minutes to get there. Man was having chest pain. On the way dispatch says the patient said he can't hold on anymore... :eek: I said oh shit we're gonna work an arrest. Well we get there, he's def having cardiac issues. Get him to the ER and stand against the wall for OVER AN HOUR. :mad::mad: Emptied an O2 tank and used up a monitor battery just waiting.

    Ahhhhhhhh. I feel better now for venting. How is everyone tonight? :D

    So there were no other rigs closer to take the call? And shouldn't hospitals prioritize patients...hangnails and the like at the back of the line, cardiac patients to the front?

    The ambulance that normally covers that territory was at a different hospital on a call. :( And EVERY bed in the ER was taken and had a full waiting room. While we were there waiting, their computers for CAT Scan and X-Ray went down. I will NOT be going back there if I can help it.... Patient has the right to say where they want to go, but I can be convincing. :cool:
