Another vote for tube. Actually I've got nothing against plate bumpers. There are some really nice ones out there. If I had bought a plate bumper it would have been from Elite. But I'm more than happy with my Trail-Gear bumper.

Oh and I have several bends/dents in my ARB plate bumper on my Cruiser. My tube bumper is still straight and clean. For the guys that think tube won't hold up are looking at the wrong tube bumpers.

 

for your area and wheeling obstacles, I'd say Plate Bumper. I live in the desert so I'm running a tubed

 

2nd gens dont look very good with straight tubes. first gens do tho. cause first gens > 2nd.

One of the sexiest trucks on TW. I do love the way that TG looks on our trucks I'm just worried about sticks and shit getting in-between the tubes and messing stuff up. The stuff I wheel in is hunting clubs stuff like that where I may just run over big branches and little trees. I like ATO products but it is all 2nd gen stuff. I would love to go tube since it's light but worried about damage.

 

thanks bro... and to be honest most any after market bumper will provide protection when needed... at least for the most part....

in most cases yes... but certain ones pay attention to a lot more details than others... that people tend to over look....

Maybe put some plates over the gaps? The branch would have to be perfectly placed and decently sized to do any real damage going through those gaps imo. BFA rolled his truck and landed on the outer part of the tube by the fender on his TG bumper and only bent it a little bit.

Well it's not big trees but put in the right place they can do damage. I've had them snap off in my skids and stuff. I go around what I can but sometimes you just can't.

the rad is pretty well protected with the TG toob bumper it looks like, since the winch plate is plate.
