Suprisingly, pay 3 grand for an online course and go write the books yourself and your in. it's not super difficult to get into, but once on the job, the competent people get separated out pretty quick. Hey are you at work all night?

Actually no wi-fi for that computer. Gotta keep it virus-free. We have a protocol book that's in a 3 ring binder that has all of our standing orders in it. I don't hardly refer to it - have most of it memorized. The only time I ever look something up is when I have to look up pediatric dosages on some drugs. I hate pediatric calls. :(

:sorry: Pediatric is child. When you go through paramedic school you have alot of memorization. I had to memorize 150 drugs - adult and pediatric dosage, what you use it for, when you can't use it, etc....... 2 years of school. But I LOVE it!!! I love fire too. :D

mine was just a 1197 page text book, you had 4 months to memorize is, write an exam, 4 months with another 1200 page book, then write the exam. It covers EVERYTHING mechanical from engines to plumbing to welding to building scaffolding to instrumentation to electrical.

But if you want a shit ton of life knowledge in a short while to help you solve almost any problem, power engineering is the way to go

Wow. That's almost worth it for the knowledge. When I joined the GSAR team I had to go through 8 months of training. What was really cool was the extra stuff I learned. Especially when we did structural collapse. I now know what a gusset is and what the nail patterns are for half and full gussets. I also learned how to weld in that class too. I'll just pay you for a rental fee on your book and save the $3000. :D
