Some pics from this afternoon ran up to Boulder City to check how much snow is left, its dry a good portion of the way up and the creek is running good but there are still some avalanche debris fields accross the road so i'll give it a few more weeks. Thanks to STravis for snapping some pics today.

    Stuffed on the rear bumpstops

Unloaded a little bit but still on the bumps

Coming back down the trail I had my truck in 2 wheel low with the rear locked for this section running 13 psi in the tyres. Going up that section against the current had to use 4 low and lock the diffs in a few spots.

I'll head back up there in a few weeks and hopefully the road will be open all the way to the ghost town and lake.:D

    Nice photos, truck is awesome!

So did you re-work the fender liner in or are you not running any up front right now?!

Thanks, I am not running the fender liners on all 4 corners at the moment but plan on putting them back in one of these days prior to winter.

Oh okay, yea I plan on doing this soon, so I was curious. So you're not worried about mud/water getting into your intake?!

I haven't been worried about it and have not had the fender liners in it since last fall I just watch my filters and how deep of water I get into. I am not sure if the V6 has a different airbox but my intake in the fender well is slightly angled up and thought about throwing a k&n stack style filter on there as a prefilter but it has not been an issue so I haven't worried about for the last 30K.

Don't really understand what you mean by a stack style filter?!

We used to run these on our husky chainsaws, they come in several sizes so was going to find one that would fit over the intake horn in the wheel well and run it as a pre filter.

Hopefully it makes sense, again I'm not sure how different the 4.0 V6 is from my 2.7 I4 but thought it would a good alternative to a snorkel.

Oh okay, I was thinking of doing something similar, makes sense now, just didn't know how to word it, was thiinking that with a cloth filter (K&N etc) since they don't restrict as much air flow would make up for the restircted flow due to the 1st filter

The other day I was able to sneek into the shop at work and borrow the welder to change the shifters on my FJ case, originally my buddy Mattie and I used some cut pieces of plate that worked but weren't quite right and did not shift with my center console in place. So I cut them apart and started over.....

Used a piece from a plumbing/electrical supply to cover the hole in the tunnel. I found when I went to pick up my grinder that had burned up. They called to let me know it had been fixed under warranty so it was a score all the way around.

I used some flexible tool trays that I had laying around and reworked the top piece of the center console. I really like the way it turned out and a big thanks to my buddy Ryan for all the help in making this all work when it was said and done.

As you can tell by the pics the low range has a long throw and had to be bent to the passenger side so that it does not get knocked into neutral when shifting into reverse.

Thanks, It has been a while since I have been to Florida I think the last time I was there was 10 years ago spent time in Big Cypress and Everglades on fires. Big Cypress had some kick ass swamp buggies that we used to get around in.

Made another run to Boulder City today still did not make it to the Ghost town or lake but getting closer.

This is a road that I had not been up before and was really impressed with the scenery and Norton had a good time in the creek.

Oh yeah and the truck was there too.

The road is hammered from avalanche debris and the heavy snow from this winter so it made for some really good wheeling.

This section is always gnarly going up, today was the first time up it with 35's huge difference compared to my 33's sorry no pics going up but here are some coming down.

This was another rig I ran into today he was with a group of jeeps and the lone Toyota. Super clean and very capable 4runner hoping to go wheeling with these folks agains.

It was a super fun day if you are ever in the Sun Valley area and have the chance I would recommend checking out Boulder City. A lot of history and good wheeling. As you can see I'm having a great time I'm glad I called in and took the day off from work.
