Here's a preview shot of the Driver's side slider.

They will be available in DOM tubing only. The kit uses some factory holes, and requires drilling a few new holes. Regular pricing will be $489.

Preordering will start July 1 (tomorrow) with delivery around the end of July depending on how far behind our laser shop is. I will start a new thread at that time with more information about the sliders, more photos, and information about how to preorder.

Has anyone had these welded on at a shop? I am curious how much a welder would charge for an install... Thanks!

A good shop should take 3-4 hours to install them. If you mark out where you want the frame plates and spend the time to remove the paint for them it will save quite a bit of time, therefore money. Grinding frame paint is one of the single most time consuming parts of the install.

I can build them for you, I just need to know how long you'd like them to be.

The sliders do function well as steps. We also have many customers using them to help protect against parking lot sharks (door dings shopping carts and those pesky skateboarders). Also if you wheel at all with a non lifted truck it is almost more important to have under body protection as the truck is that much closer to anything that may try to attack.

Ok so I was kidding about the skateboarders.

yeah, it will take a good chunk of time. also since the legs/plates/cussets are not welded (allows you to choose how far the sliders stick out), you/the shop will have a ton of extra distance to cover with the welder compared to a pre assembled style.

i was unsure about thekickouts too, but i'm glad i got them. my decision was also made easier witht he fact that i knew i wanted DOM tube and the kickouts are the only DOM option. the sliders as a whole make for a good step, and the kickout, particularly for access to the bed.

It is actually very little work extra than most other sliders as most sliders don't even include the frame plates, let alone do those plates come welded. The legs come notched and ready to weld, you simply need to decide how you want to mount your slider and weld the legs on.

I do still make the non kickout sliders in DOM tubing. I messed up the attributes on the web site a few months back and it took me a while to fix it. I think it is all back up as of a week or two ago. If you are looking for something specific and it is not there please let me know.

If you have an 05+ and are looking to save time, hassle and money you may want to check out the new bolt on sliders.

i already have a set of yours so i'm all set. it took me a little extra time because my welder doesn't have the greatest of duty cycle, and i was trying to be very thurough, which was also time consuming.

i think we're also spoiled on here, as a lot of the tacoma sliders already have all the legs and frame plates welded on.

i enjoy doing the work myself though, so it was a win win. :)
