I think she did it too. But the problem comes from the prosecution failing to provide a time of death and a place of death. There was no solid proof. Computer searches dont mean you killed someone. Prosecution tried her for murder one. The jury isnt allowed to lessen the charge to anything but murder one. If they tried her for child abuse it may have stuck. To be that worked up about it though is sad. Take a look at your own judicial system if you have a problem with the outcome and do something proactive instead of just being mad

For the time and place of death, to establish a time and place of death isn't necessary to determine if she killed Caylee or not. If she didn't kill her, then why did she wait 30-something days to tell anybody whatsoever that she was missing. If she really didn't know what happened to her (and we all know damn well that she knew what happened), then WHY didn't she state that from the beginning? Why lie about a babysitter, then lie about her drowning, etc.? Prosecution tried her for murder one, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and 4 counts of providing false information to a LEO. She could have easily been convicted of ag. child abuse and/or ag. manslaughter given the evidence.

Hell I'm worked up about it because a Anthony got away with murder, but I'm more worked up because she killed her own innocent daughter. Caylee didn't get any justice for this. I can't do a damn thing about 12 morons that were selected for jury duty. What a disgrace.

It is needed to establish the difference between murder one and accidental. Child Abuse and manslaughter were not on the table. Once again law says jury is not allowed to lessen a charge. Aggravated means a weapon was used. Whats the weapon?

 

I could be batshit crazy, but there is nothing accidental about throwing a corpse in a marsh with duct tape on the head/mouth of the victim.

 

I asked what killed her. The weapon. If that is what caused the death it would not be aggravated child abuse. Aggravated means there was a weapon used. What your not understanding is the prosecution failed to charge her with the correct item. You are correct that if they just went with child abuse it wouldve stuck. But instead they went with a charge they couldnt prove

You can't prove means conclusively if you can't even determine wether a murder actually occured or not.

What was her motive? What reason did she have to want to kill her daughter?

How can you prove opportunity? If you can't pin down a time or place of death, then you certainly can't prove someone was able to do it or not. You don't even need an aliby if the prosecution can't say when the crime happened...

Guilty or not, the state tried a shitty case. They couldnt prove the 'big 3' beyond a reasonable doubt. Maybe she is the next OJ- maybe she just benefitted from the justice system working as it should.


Something to think about:

If traces of chloroform, a little duct tape and some internet searches, and lying to a LEO was enough to get a conviction- if Denise Milani's body was found in the woods tomorrow I could convict half of TW for her murder.

She's already being sued by some lady named Zaneida Gonazales who is now claiming that her life is ruined because people think she kidnapped Caylee and hasn't ever met any of their family before.

Lets see if I got this right. 12 RANDOM people were in a courtroom for weeks, listening to FACTS, and TESTIMONY. With all the facts they determined that there was not enough evidence to try her for murder without any reasonable doubt. And you're going to tell me that even though this women may have killed her child they were tired and going to let her walk? BS! You're also going to tell me that the 10 minutes you've spent reading the condensed, biased info from the media, and your trick knee, and gut are better suited to sentence this woman to death, torture, and damnation in hell? BS!

So lets take a looks at some of your "evidence" I did a search for chlorine. I got chlor and suddenly chloroform is up top. Chloroform is found in trace amounts EVERYWHERE. YOUR trunk has trace amounts. They had one "expert" say it smelled like decomp and yet another who said it didn't smell like decomp. I once knew a party girl with a daughter. Her mother knew she was a party girl so sometimes she would come get the little girl and keep her for days and sometimes weeks at a time before the woman I knew noticed. Every person and family is different and it is not for you and I to say what is normal. As for CoD. Prosecutor says she suffocated, defense says drown, but no CoD was ever confirmed. As for the dad molest thing that was to counter the prosecutor's attempt of making the jury look past the fact that their evidence had no firm attachment to the murder, and make a decision based on emotion like soo many members here are doing. A jury should make a decision with facts and logic, not emotions.

It is sad that there is no closure to her death, but I could not say that the mother is guilty without a reasonable doubt either.

 

Watching the sentencing right now and she's gonna be in jail for about another year, the judge hit her with the max for the lying and ran the sentences one after the other.

They said this woman has been "protective custody" for almost 3 years. She hasn't been in any kind of contact with other prisoners for "her own safety". I think her last year in jail should be in general population!
