I've heard from different people that 05 tacomas use premium instead of 87. is this true? also what kind of MPG does a 4x4 auto 05 taco get?

Who did you here that from. I've never had any problem with 87. No spark knocking or anything else. I have a 2005 prerunner with the TRD offroad package. I average 21.5. I baby my baby though.

like Golden Eagle area? I used to live in SummerBrooke. no Not really, If i put mid in my truck I get the STP octane booster and dump it into my tank and so its good with anything . I have an 06 TRD SPORT 4.0L Access and i get roughly 16/20 highway.

i use both but the truck seems to run better with a higher octane and for the gas milage i get 23 on the highway and 19 in the city when my foot ain't in it

Oh ok i know where that is. I lived there for 13 years and moved here about 3 years ago. my truck is a 4x2. It might have a little bit better MPG than a 4X4
