Chris, you're too funny. If I get um.. liberated from my job due to financial downsizing, I'm hanging with you at your place. I'll bring the popcorn. We can read TW all day while the wives work. :D
Craig in FL - IF.. you decide to get into the tint bussiness, I'm not sure but it seems you've produced the best set so far? Any chance you want to do these a set at a time? I would guess.. people would pay for quality? He was charging ~$200 for the pair or rears? How's $250 instead for better quality? Your quality? Sell your darker ones (you don;t like them anyway) to some one here, re-do a new set to your liking and maybe get in the side job biz?.. I would be intersted if the had about half of the tint as the ones you did for yourself.
Let us know when you come back from 'batting practice' with this guy.

The meeting has happened yet... my schedule at work keeps changing, so I havent made it that far north yet (its about 3-1/2 hours drive).

I'm trying to remain patient, and not make the drive just for this purpose as if I did I very well might kill someone when I got there. Making a 20 minute side-trip when I'm in the area anyway is obviously more cost effective for me = God knows this guy has cost me enough $...

I appreciate the compliment, and actually have given it some thought. My fear is that I am a bit of a perfectionist, and might upset some people by taking too long.

Between all my "hobbies" and incomplete projects (and truck mods), and the time it takes me to get them perfect, I could see it taking alot longer for a set then it should ...lol...

Right now I've got over 10k invested in car audio equipment, and a few months into custom fiberglass door pods, a dash piece for relocating my hazard/clock, etc... I also have a bike that lately I wonder if I'll ever finish:(

Bike looks good man. I try not to have too many projects as I get side tracked easily. Not to mention sometimes you just need a break from one project so you can maintain that level of quality.

Craig, I was hoping that by the time I got to the end of this thread there would have been some kind of meaningful resolution. For what it's worth, I think you were reasonable and tried to do the right thing. You gave the guy the benefit of doubt. You did everything you could. For your sanity and well being, I hope at this point you'll just walk away. Good luck.

I called him maybe a handful of times over the span of a month or 2, and when I actually did get to speak with him I got nothing but BS.

No, I got screwed out of the money, and honestly, I'm not to thrilled to learn that not only was he NOT banned, but has the balls to come back here and post anything after he ripped people off (not just me...but several people).

This guy is truly a loser. Most of us can relate to "bad times" economically nowadays, but I gave the guy every opportunity to give me what I paid for and keep the money!

Ultimately, I did my own, which turned out 1000 times better than anything this guy is capable of...live and learn.

Thanks for all the support and kind words..really.

As far as eltacoloco...well...I have no doubt he sleeps like a baby.
