everybody shut up and listen to me i need to say words. Ok, so i am naturally a very outdoor orientated, athletic, energetic person. but my job requires alot of sitting down. not to mention i get paid well so i have gotten fat and lazy. this is not the life i want to lead. i have decided that i need some kind of huge change. I HATE getting up in the morning because i fucking HATE my job! i want a job that i enjoy. I love boats and water. I want to work on a sailboat. yes it's true, i dont know anything about sailing but i think it says alot that i bought a sailboat and within a week i could sail to any point on the lake i wanted with no prior experience or knowledge. I want a job on a sailboat. so my question is this. how do i get a job on a sailboat? i dont mind taking a drastic cut in pay, i dont expect to make what i am currently making on a sailboat. in fact, i'd be lucky to get half of my current pay. but i dont care, i want an awesome job. if i could spend the rest of my life on a boat i'd be happy even is i was poor as dirt. i want an "appretice" type job where i can learn to sail (more than i already know) and spend my life on the water. any suggestions? Roland, do you need a slightly alcoholic disrespectful egotistical deckhand? if so let me know

yes little mexican i am indeed drunk, but i have been unhappy with my job for the last year and just recently realized i need to be on a boat (getting my dive license and working on a dive boat would be fun too). but drunk or not, i want to change jobs. of course i dont expect you to understand since mexico has not invented boats yet

navy, coast guard...you get to work on a boat while serving your country. but i imagine it will be a DRASTIC cut in pay.

it's something i'm looking into but there are alot of things working against me so i'm not holding my breath. but i am looking and am willing to move and sell my truck and do all that if it means having a job i like. life is too short to spend the majority of it working at a job you hate with every fiber of your being

i do believe i'm too old to join the navy or the coast guard. plus, i think both of those institutions have switched from wind power to gas/diesel or nuclear. i specifically want to work on a sailboat or a dive boat. i've always wanted to kill a shark, so if i were on a dive boat i would sneak a spear gun down with me and kill the shit out of a shark when nobody was looking

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
it might help u if u were near any real water....chas or HH or something like that.

and ur not oo old to join the navy, cg, af, army, or mc. i think the oldest active duty for af is 29. should be around the same for the other branches. maybe higher for army and mc due to recruiting constraints.

nd, take a vacation to Florida. Start at St. Petersburg and head south. Plenty of large beach communities on the Gulf coast. Talk to people, something may come up. If you are really that unhappy you need to make a change. The older you get the faster the years go by. I'd rep you for the honest heartfelt post, but I know you don't want it.
