i thought about the rough country 6" lift but i think im leaning towards a full 3", the only reason i thought about the RC lift was because no cutting was needed like my Procomp lift on the taco

Most of us on here are pretty anti Drop Bracket lift kinda guys. There is a guy on socal fj's who has a black cherry fj w/ a 6" DB lift and he wheels his shit harder than a lot of the guys on scfj.
All based on what you want to do with it. IMO- full 3" lift is the way to go. (Jeremy is currently in the process of removing his DB lift and installing a 3" lift)
i am willing to bet 80% of Db tacos/fj's out there probably dont see dirt
be sure to post up pics when you lift yours!

i will for sure have to weigh all the options, i live in a rural area so my fj will see dirt more then others, its actually the wifeys fj but i dont think she will be doing any hard wheeling really that what we got the taco for, i will post pictures for sure

I know a lot of people hate the DB lift, but I personally don't care one way or another. I think the 6" lifts look sick on both the Taco and the FJ. Like Jonny said, there are some guys that wheel their DB lifts hardcore and haven't had any problems. I just think the fact you have to cut your crossmember makes a lot of people hate the lift.

    X2

I had a db lift on my pickup and I liked it at first till I started to wheel it. I had no more clearance then a stock taco
